Elevated blood pressure is a major risk factor for a heart attack
or stroke. In fact, it is generally regarded as the greatest of
the risk factors for a stroke. Although physicians are primarily
concerned with diastolic pressure (the second number in the blood
pressure reading), systolic pressure is also an important factor.
Individuals with a normal diastolic pressure (< 82) but elevated
systolic pressure (> 158) have a twofold increase in their cardiovascular
death rates compared to individuals with normal systolic pressures
< 130).
Since over eighty percent of patients with high blood pressure
are in the borderline-to-moderate range, most cases of high blood
pressure can be brought under control through changes in diet and
lifestyle. In fact, in head-to-head comparisons, many nondrug therapies
have proven superior to drugs in cases of borderline-to-mild hypertension.
High blood pressure should not be taken lightly. By keeping your
blood pressure in the normal range, you will not only lengthen your
life, but you will improve the quality of your life as well. This
is especially true if natural measures, rather than drugs are used
to attain proper blood pressure; the drugs carry significant side
effects such as fatigue, headaches and impotence.
We at Choosing Nature care about you and your loved ones. We maintain
a policy that anyone who walks through our doors can receive a free
blood pressure test. So stop in, the test is painless. It takes
only a few moments and you will have the peace of mind knowing your
blood pressure is were it should be or you will know that you must
address a health issue. If need be we can test your levels of sugar,
ammonia, nitric oxide, electrolytes, dehydration, vit C, digestion,
adrenal stress, and even run a complete cholesterol lipid panel
for a nominal fee. If you have family who rely on you to keep your
presence on this earth then it is your responsibility to know you
are doing what it takes to stay healthy.

Ode To Dr. Fay
There's always a day
That's depressing and gray
Ugly sickness sneaks in for a stay
We moan and we groan
And we run to the phone
To call a young doctor named Fay
Dr. Thomas J. Fay
Has a whole lot to say
Full of wonder and knowledge is he
He can heal with a smile
And he does it with style
Chasing sick, painful problems away
|
| |
He came to us in a whirlwind of knowledge, capability and healing
power. His doses of medicine were the wonderful substances of our
sweet earth. These were mixed together with a natural and instinctive
love. (Like a flower that grows and blooms, sharing it's bounty
of fragrance to all in it's path, yet, keeping always the secret
and majesty of it's growth to itself).
That dear friend, was our introduction to Dr. Thomas Fay, who came
into our lives and made us well.
Sue Darnell
"Thank you Mrs. Darnell I am humbled."

A man was sentenced to prison. Upon his arrival he was put through
the regular indoctrination and then was shown to his cell. Lights
went out a 10:00 pm and they were told there was no talking after
lights out. Soon he hear a voice shout out "29" and all
the other in-mates laughed until the guards quieted them down. After
it was quite another voice sang out " 46 " and again all
the other in-mates burst out laughing until the guards once again
quieted them down.
In the morning the new prisoner questioned a fellow in-mate about
what went on the previous night. He was informed that there was a
joke book in the library and all of the jokes were numbered so everyone
had remembered them. This way they could call out a number and they
all knew which joke they were referring too.
So that day the new prisoner went to the library and spent the entire
day memorizing the joke book. He could hardly wait for lights out
so that he too could share jokes and become more accepted by his new
peers. Lights went out and he shouted out " 58 ", there
was dead silence. He waited a few moments and shouted out " 72
", again there was not a sound.
The next day he approached one of the guards and asked, "how
come no one laughed when I called out those two great jokes?"
The guard turned to him and said " Some people can tell a joke
and some can't".

This is for older people only ...... younger people may try it
at their own risk.
But those who are getting along in years, and would like to adopt
this regimen, three days a week works well.
Begin by standing straight, with a 5-LB. potato sack in each hand.
Extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there
as long as you can - try to reach a full minute. Relax.
After a few weeks, move up to 10-LB. potato sacks, and then 50-LB.
potato sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a
100-LB potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight out
for more than a full minute.
After you feel confident at that level, start putting a couple
of potatoes in each of the sacks, but be careful not to overdo it.
